Development

So here's what's going on in the development of Quantum: Origins

 UPDATE: 7 May 2013
We have some major players on the table with us now.  Joining us as my second in command is my good buddy and fellow artist Chris Kapp.  He will be helping me with many creative aspects of the Quantum: Origins universe and I'm both happy and lucky to have him on board.  Chris stepped it up to an epic scale with the design work for the God Planet, an important part of our universe.

Also joining us as space art contributors are Gabriel Gajdoš and Eskhata. Both of these guys are amazing at what they do and we're extremely happy to have their support.

Much of the artwork we shared earlier that was a work in progress has been completed and yet more is on the way.  Not only am I working closely with 4 more artists on their current creations, the Art Contest has already yielded some very nice submissions.  One of them has been added to a character profile already since I feel like it was a fantastic representation.
If you visit the Worlds section of the Encyclopedia on the site, you will find new creations and applications of some of the awesome artwork that has been submitted.  I recommend checking that regularly and draw from the inspiration these planets and systems can give towards your artwork.
Stay tuned for more!

Beginning with this blog site, I've begun to put a lot more work into the project.  Over the last two weeks we've seen illustrations and paintings from multiple guest artists with even more people getting involved over time.  You'll find a lot of great new artwork as the result of this like this painting by Danillovesfood of deviantART.  There are currently several other works of art in progress that I know of and probably others that haven't notified me yet.

In addition to this news, I am also pleased to announce that a prestigious artist is aboard to design the star ship Clairvoyant.  The Clairvoyant is a vital part of our story and it was important that it find a skilled designer to give it a look that would be appreciated by all fans and inspire perhaps a cult following.  You can read more about this over at this blog entry titled The Making of The Clairvoyant - Forward Scout Star Ship - Captain Katyah Carter.

The next big thing in development news is that we're running a month long Art Contest on DeviantART which we expect will have hundreds of participants.  We're giving away some stellar prizes and we hope that we will see loads of Quantum: Origins artwork and build a larger audience for the project.  We would also like to find some enthusiastic contributors with this contest who would enjoy helping us build this universe.  Visit the Contest Page
