Background: Sentinels are each assigned to a separate ship in the great fleet of the Nomad Earth Empire. They are the Witnesses, the law keepers, and are feared even among their own people. Their allegiance belongs strictly to The Watch for whom they provide intelligence and reconnaissance. Though essentially, they fall under the command of the captain of the ship they are assigned to, they have the authority to trump the orders of the ship captain whenever they deem the captain's orders are detrimental to The Watch, and thus, the Empire. Sentinels generally do not communicate overly much with the other inhabitants of the ships they are assigned to and are therefore often treated as spies and dangerous to be around.
They are genetically enhanced humans with extra and unusual muscle groups. Sentinels posses finely honed combat skills are are more than a match for a platoon of infantry soldiers. At their disposal, they have the use of a portable version of the Blackhole Technology. This technology allows them to store weapons, ammunition, survival gear, and various other supplies in a small black hole to which they have access through a device located at their wrist. The Watch also maintains a black hole corridor through which all of it's agents may travel back to the fleet command ship. This corridor leads from wherever the Sentinel is, back to the fleet ship but can only return it's traveler back to it's original destination where a return beacon is in place. The corridor does not allow others to travel from the command ship to the Sentinel's location at a remote destination.

A fleet ship of The Watch is seen here, stationed in the Starfire Nebula. This nebula is blazing hot and only ships equipped with state of the art shields can withstand the voracious appetites of the birthing star. A Sentinel of The Watch (Jarreck) is pictured walking down a hall way where the floors reflect the ferocity of the nebula outside, en-route to meet with his commanding officer.
