Personality: Very intelligent, talented with solving puzzles. Unfailing memory. Adept computer programmer and software engineer. Not the most social person. Tends to close herself off from others, not getting involved with personal relationships. “Strictly business”.
Habits/Mannerisms: Fear of rodents possibly relating to some childhood drama. While she is an extremely skilled pilot, seemingly born to fly, she is often out of her element as the Captain of elite troop of LEG soldiers (infantry).
Background: Katyah purchased a Typhus 77 series ship purchased from the manufacturer Intranova Technologies as an interstellar light cargo transport. Katyah Carter had no interest in pursuing a life of political power as was her birthright. With other plans for her life, she purchased the ship and started her own transport company which serviced the higher echelons of society. Her family prestige allowed her access to exclusive clientele and she amassed a small fortune in short time.
She began to upgrade the Typhus 77. During the course of two years, the value of her ship had more than tripled. It's abilities far surpassed those of a stock model and the requirements of a cargo ship. With a desire to become something better in life, Katyah began her search for bigger challenges. When the empire announced it would be offering militarization to privately owned star ships, she seized the opportunity and began her career as a Captain in the Nomad Earth military.
Militarized star ships are authorized to carry far more fire power than ships in the private sector. Substantial upgrades where made to the ships weaponry but the largest upgrade undergone was the reclassification from interstellar to intergalactic. Engine capacity was increased, a Superlight NomaTech Hyperdrive was installed, and the ship was fitted with the most powerful energy efficient damage shields available. Now that the ship was capable of traveling through the rarified plasma known as the IGM (intergalactic medium) that makes up the space between galaxies in a cluster, it was classified as military worthy and a contingent of soldiers were placed under Captain Carter's command..

Internal Conflicts: Becomes troubled by the apparent absence of morality in the Nomad Earth Empire. Severe distrust of the Sentinels of the Watch
External Conflicts: Altercations with Jarreck (SotW). Red Barred as a criminal of the empire after executing Jarreck. Must help to defend the God Planet from the NE empire.
Notes: Katyah has made unique upgrades to her Personal Consort Lilly. Using software she developed illegally, Lilly has a true human like conscience and the ability to feel both emotions and sense of touch which extends to feeling even pain from tissue damage. Thanks to her abilities in this area, Lilly not only behaves as a human, she is also widely regarded as such amongst the crew.

Katyah shoots Jarreck in the face after he tries to strip command of the Clairvoyant from her. With the help of Lilly and her connection with the Clairvoyant, or “Claire” as she calls the ship, Jarreck was immobilized in the last split second before he could transmit location and situational data back to The Watch [or perhaps he was stopped a moment before attempting to execute Lilly, whom he was not fond of and suspected as having illegal modifications. He would have attempted to kill her as she would be considered Katyah’s main accomplice and the first obstacle to interfere with his plans upon stripping command from her.]
